Housing & Travel Support

In addition to the programmatic efforts to encourage social activities, students are asked to live in a campus dormitory in order to promote a comfortable environment in which to relate on a daily basis.

Dorm rooms will be available beginning June 2, 2009.

Dorm rooms are available to participants under the REU program sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Depending on how many students reside in the dorms and the availability of program funds, meal cards may be provided.

It is anticipated under the Summer Clinical Research Experiences in Aging program sponsored by the Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging through Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJHF), dorm rooms  and meal cards will also be provided.  Currently that funding is pending.

Travel assistance may be provided (within the constraints of the budget and as funds are available) to students for the costs of getting to and from St. Louis by car or coach airfare.
