At the beginning of the summer program, a retreat will be held at nearby Trout Lodge or Meramec State Park (depending on room availability; both are approximately 90 miles away). The retreat will introduce students to problems in research ethics and lay the groundwork for future research ethics discussions. The main focus of the retreat will be the development and discussion of hypothetical ethical dilemmas. The anticipated dates of the 2009 retreat are June 12-14, and all participants are expected to attend.
